I love yoga, having practised it on and off for about 15 years. I find it a great way of grounding oneself, and kind of 'rinsing off' the days concerns and worries. It's also great for clearing feelings of blockages in parts of the body, although sometimes this takes a little while! But the persistence of breath does pay off!
Whilst researching this site, I came across some old texts that talked about 'adepts' etc, and I am quite happy not to be involved in all of that old 'mysticism' around yoga. I have a strong sense of spirituality, but I think we all find our own way, in whatever we most feel drawn to. And I think one of the best places to start is by feeling appreciation and gratitude to the little and big things n our own lives, to really reconnect with our own lives at a deeper level, and our own selves as a consequence of that.
Yoga shouldn't be a be all and end all, but one of the many things in our life that we use to live the best kind of lives we can, however that is to be for us.
